Spent most of the weekend with friends & working on my hobbies. Yay! ^_^

New desktop background featuring Leo, the pony-lion hybrid, has been uploaded!

Also uploaded some pictures of a disassembled ice skating pony. I took this pony apart almost a year ago...and I still haven't gotten around to putting her back together! Argh! I don't even know if she can be re-assembled in a decent manner. C'mon Hasbro...make regular rearing pose 3rd generation ponies (so I can customize them already!).

The Coffee Dyed pony is coming along nicely. She's quite complex, with a TAF design. And she still smells faintly like coffee. I'm not going to post any pictures until she's finished...she's going to be a surprise. ^_^

Also struggled with the origami roses...the directions are downright confusing. Finally figured it out, though, after mangling the paper and looking at this website. Also made some more of the little puffy stars. Looks like I'll be needing more paper...they hardly made a dent in the bottle I'm trying to fill.

Yay for hobbies!
My weekend was also nice and crafty. I managed to finally stitch a bag to carry my photo-pony around in. It looks comfortable... pity I'm not as small as moondancer ^.^

I can't thank you enough for the pony post.. I have been trying to figure out how to separate the poor dear from the stand. I want her without that damned stand.

The rose and stars look lovely ^^

LOL, no, the pony-lion is something that I whipped up. I've thought about making the zodiac series as real customs. But that's a lot of work. ^_^

Thanks for the comment about the stars. They're super easy to make. Here's a link to a tutorial from the Craftgrrl community.

If push comes to shove, just jam a sculpey horn in that hole and customize her. ^__^ Rearing G3 unihorn!

Thanks for the idea. I actually tried it with a spiral sea shell...looks kinda out of proportion. I'm just not inspired to do anything with this pony at the moment. Awwwwww...

Oh, and another thing...have you wet the hair of the Avon exclusive girls? I just washed them (all Ponies eventually get a shampoo and condition, makes their hair more managable) and the water just...beaded off. @__@ I remember some other Ponies I jsut did reacted the same, possibly it was Sunshower and Luau...what do you make of it?

No, not yet. They still have the plastic hair thingies in.
It's probably just a slightly different type of hair...maybe it's from a different factory. I've heard that certain ponies are more prone to frizzing as well. Try leaving just a touch of conditioner in the hair...don't rinse it out completely. This usually makes the manes sleeker.

Re: Origami

The stars are MUCH easier to make than the roses. I struggled for about an hour making my first rose...and I have experience reading the patterns. Try the stars. ^_^
