This was a great long weekend. Got to sleep in and watch a lot of DIY Network. ^_^
Lots of new news on the pony front. Besides answering a gazillion e-mails, here's what I did:
I dyed the white nylon hair in three stripes: pale blue, light purple, and light rose pink. It looks pretty good. ^_^ This hair is a standard skein cut in half, so it measures about 8.5” folded (22cm for you metric types). It takes dye VERY well...this hair was soaked only about 2 or 3 minutes. Very similar to my previous experiments with real MLP hair, just as expected. ^_^
Shamrock Spring is complete. I didn't like the way she looked until after her hair was styled. I gave her hair a very slight curl. Her hair is made from Sea Nymph colored nylon hair sample. The one sample skein that I received is barely enough for one pony.
Click on Shamrock Spring’s icon for her page.
I’m currently working on the gradient painting tutorial. The pictures have been taken...just need to edit them and work on the text. In other news, I updated the Customs FAQ and added a new FAQ for sculpting. Happy customizing! ^_^
