Re: Memento and Birds of a Feather
Sparkling Lemonade is gorgeous! She is so bright and happy, lol. And her eyes are gorgeous, I think that's my favorite part. I wish I could see Memento's eyes in person, because they look great in the picture! I still really love her hair as well ^_^
Oops, forgot to say that Birds of a Feather looks awesome too! Her hair is so pretty, and I marvel at your symbol skillz.
Thank you! ^_^ I love Sparkling Lemonade's vibrant yellow color...she makes me happy too. Memento is one of my favorite ponies too. ^_^
they are all so beautiful! i really like birds of a feather's hair :o)
Thank you! ^_^ The colors in Birds of a Feather's hair are very vibrant...I'm pleasantly surprised at how well they coordinate with her base color.
Sparkling Lemonade is just beautiful! I love her, she just makes me smile by looking at her.
And Memento is just amazing. All that detailing and work - I'm just speechless at how much effort went into her and how good she looks.
I love the ringlets on both of them too. Do you just use curlers for that effect? - Also your ponies' manes are so thick, do you use thick plugs with them? - apologies for all the questions.
Thanks for the comments. ^_^
I don't mind the questions...I like using foam curlers (it's the safest way to go). With the Kanekalon, it has to be carefully straightened with a curling iron first. There is a fine line between getting the hair straight and melting it. I usually try to get the manes about the same thickness as a regular Hasbro pony's. These manes ended up a little thicker than usual. If it's too thick, the mane won't sit flat.
Gorgeous! I really love BoaF's hair... I love how you put the dark blue as her forelock, instead of the other way around that is typical of Rainbow Ponies. ^^
Thank you! ^_^ The blue forelock was the idea of her designer. I think it looks nice too. ^_^
love love love!!! they are gorgeous!!!
Aww! there so pretty! Banana Ramas eyes look like they were difficult to make.. By the way.. How do you make your symbols so flawless... my symbols tend to have brush strokes... i cant seem to get rid of them... Well thanks tons!

Thanks for the comment. ^_^ Banana Rama's eyes took about 20 layers of paint...it was ridiculous!
It's hard to get the symbols completely without brush strokes...using more layers and waiting until the paint dries completely between layers will help. Also, use fresh paint and clean brushes. ^_^
Thanks for the comment. ^_^

Re: ooohh how pretty!
Thank you! These ponies are going to be hard to part with. ^_^
They're all beautiful! Birds of a Feather is my favorite of the group, but I'm biased toward anything with a parrot on it. Banana Rama's eyes are really cool, as others have said (what are you knitting?). I can't wait for the Midsummer Contest!
Thanks for the comments. ^_^ Parrots are such beautiful animals.
I'm knitting a thin "drop stitch" scarf from the fuzzy green yarn. Actually, I might change the design a bit, to incorporate some lime green yarn that I just got. Ugh, I'm such a yarn addict!

I'm so excited for the Quinny pony. Now that I am observing your progress on work (momento...sparkling lemonade) I know that this pony is going to turn out great

Thanks! Quinny is prepped and I'm painting her eyes right now. I think she will be a very cute pony. ^_^
