A Ponyful Weekend! [Mar. 26th, 2006|08:52 pm]

Finished two projects: Sparkling Lemonade and Memento .

Below is a March commissioned project:

Birds of a Feather is almost complete. She just needs a Macaw Feather to denote her magnet hoof. This will be on the non-display side. ^_^

The other projects (April commissions) are also progressing nicely. ^_^

Banana Rama poses in front of my knitting project. ^_^ Her eyes were difficult to paint, but I'm happy with how they turned out. The banana symbol will need a few more layers of paint. I'm going to paint a faint tan colored shadow around it, to increase visibility. Her hair is going to be yellow and emerald green kanekalon in stripes.
That's Quinny on the right side. I just prepped her eyes for a partial re-paint. The pupils are going to get little snowflakes. ^_^

[not pictured]Still waiting on parts for Flanker, the Big Brother Pony.
Other things in the works: Midsummer 2006 Contest, pony clippings tutorial (how to recycle mane hair).

I'll be really busy with work this upcoming week, not to mention my new belly dancing class! ^_^ I also have plans the following weekend, so no pony updates then. Awwww...

Aww! there so pretty! Banana Ramas eyes look like they were difficult to make.. By the way.. How do you make your symbols so flawless... my symbols tend to have brush strokes... i cant seem to get rid of them... Well thanks tons!

Re: awww!

Thanks for the comment. ^_^ Banana Rama's eyes took about 20 layers of paint...it was ridiculous!
It's hard to get the symbols completely without brush strokes...using more layers and waiting until the paint dries completely between layers will help. Also, use fresh paint and clean brushes. ^_^
