for a Princess... [Mar. 7th, 2005|11:34 pm]
[mood |thoughtfulthoughtful]
[music |red hot chili peppers - soul to squeeze]

Finished re-rooting Princess Cherry, a commissioned project.

Her hair is Saran - the same material as Barbie's hair - in "Caddy Red".
Each lock is double knotted, rooted in place, then glued. Going overboard? You bet!
It needs to be super secure, since this pony's going to be played with by her little designer. ^_^ The hair is about the same length as the standard 1st generation ponies.
Her symbol is going to be sparkling cherries, of course!

Also thinking about ideas for the summer design contest. I'm pondering a "Paradise" theme. However, it seems that a lot of pony fans like the "Magical" themes featuring unicorns/faeries/stars/butterflies. Hmmmm...

What about "Magical Paradise" so there will be unicorns under palm trees?

So....I can yard sale some mangled Barbies and use their hair for Ponies? *plots*

Dun like the chick anymore anyways...

Cept the specialty ones. I have Star Trek, X-Files, and Snoopy Barbie. I just need my Jessica Rabbit one and I's set.

As someone who fully intends to enter ze' contest, regardless of theme (heck, you could do StarTrek and I'd come up with something, even if all I know about the show is "Tribbles = well trained guineapigs"), I'd go with "Paradise." As long as you don't define it too strictly...well. My idea of Paradise has magic in it, so there's no real problem. ^_^

I must say, I'm more of a 'magical' fan myself. tehe but 'Paradise' would be more challanging and they entries would prolly be more diverse. I'd say go for paradise.

Combining the two themes sounds like an excellent idea! I purposely selected broad themes...so it will give the designers more options.
